Building Strong Foundations in Mathematics

My name is Kavita, I am a fully qualified Maths teacher (QTS) with a Master's degree in Mathematics and a strong academic background, including A-Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics. I have currently 16 years of experience tutoring. I am currently accepting bookings for online tutoring sessions.

With a friendly, patient, and flexible approach, I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of my students. My teaching is student centred, creative, and responsive designed to build both subject mastery and confidence. I place strong emphasis on understanding each learner’s unique needs and adapting lesson plans, homework support, and revision activities accordingly.

My primary goal as a tutor is to make learning enjoyable and engaging, while ensuring measurable progress through regular review tests and feedback. I take pride in helping students exceed expectations by stretching and challenging them appropriately drawing on my deep understanding of mathematical concepts to support high achievement.

Lesson Format:

• 1-to-1 sessions: Ideal for fully personalised instruction. These sessions are also used for initial baseline assessments before group placement.

• Small group sessions: Groups consist of 2 to 4 students of similar ability to ensure targeted support.

  • Group sessions for KS3 students are priced at £23 per student, per session.

  • The initial 1-to-1 assessment session is charged at a higher rate.

Proven Success:

• A recent GCSE student improved from a Grade 4 in mock exams to a Grade 7 within a year.

• An AS-Level student I tutored consistently achieved Grade A results in assessments.
